Awards Ceremony for the Alamo Chapter Texas History Essay Contest – Saturday 12th at 2:00 PM:
Al McCutcheon, Chairman Essay/Education/Administration Committee, will announce the awards as we present each winner with the earned award and check. All chapter members are encouraged to attend. The awards ceremony will be in Alamo Plaza. This year there are two middle schools: H. B. Zachry and Sul Ross, with student winners and teachers each receiving an award and a check. The first place winner from each school also receives a Texas flag that has flown over the Alamo.

This Hallowed Ground Walking Tour – Saturday 12th at 1:00 PM:
The Alamo Chapter will assist in the “This Hallowed Ground” walking tour in cooperation with the San Antonio Living History Association. Bob Benavides and David Jauer will lead along with several of our members assisting. Please come and assist. It is a great tour with interesting interaction with many tourists. Dress is white shirt & tie, blue blazer, gray pants & western hat.
